Shooting Diary

How long did your shoot take?
The shoot roughly took 4-5 hours in order to get all of the footage needed. It took an hour or so for everyone to finally arrive, so only minor scenes were really shot beforehand.

When did you shoot?
All of the footage was shot on the 4th of January. While it was initially meant to be shot before this date, but people often had to reschedule. Thankfully, this was a date that everyone could in fact make it. There were no re-shoots due to the time-frame that the initial video shoot was done it being rather awkward. We shot the footage in daytime due to the video taking place outside, which would make the lighting rather awkward at night. With the amount of movement in some shots, it is likely that we wouldn’t have even been able to shoot certain scenes, such as the intro with Gary riding into town.

Where did you shoot?
The footage was shot in Simmons Park, Okehampton. This area was chosen due to it being a rather large area, featuring both open fields, and more densely packed forest areas.

Which actors/helpers did you use?
I used five actors altogether. Fortunately, aside from one scene, not all of the actors happened to appear in a scene together at once, and so those that were not acting at the time would help me to set up everything for the required shot. The actors themselves are explored in more detail on the Cast page.

Did you have to re-schedule any shooting days due to errors or problems with equipment or actors?
Two of the actors have jobs during the day, and so it was actually rather difficult to be able to get them to come in. Furthermore, one of these people didn’t even live in Okehampton, and so it was even more difficult to find a day that they could appear in the music video. The shoot was initially planned prior to 2019, however due to many people not being able to make it on the same day as everyone else, it was postponed until we could finally find a date in which we could all be there at the same time.
